The short version
We hold your email address, and a wallet address or username if you chose to add one. We use them to run your account, send what you asked for, and occasionally tell you about the market. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from your dashboard.
Who is responsible
VeVe Alpha is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us through our contact page for anything on this page, including requests about your own data.
What we hold, and why
Your email address. Needed to create and secure your account and to send you what you have asked for. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Your wallet address or username, if you add one. Used to show you your own collection and to let you mark yourself in the holder tables. It is self-declared, we do not verify it, and it is visible only to you. Legal basis: contract. You can remove it at any time.
Your alerts, watchlist and settings. What you asked us to watch, and where to send it — a Telegram chat, a Discord webhook, or a push subscription, if you connected one. Legal basis: contract.
Subscription status. Which plan you are on and whether it is active. The payment itself is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Legal basis: contract, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
Basic usage data. Aggregated page analytics and error reports that help us keep the site working. These are not used to build a profile of you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a functioning service.
Marketing email
If you have an account, we may send you occasional email about the market and about VeVe Alpha — for example our weekly report. We do this on the basis of legitimate interest: you signed up for a service about this market, and this is email about that same market.
Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting your account or your subscription. Email about your account itself, and alerts you set up, are part of the service and continue regardless.
Collector data is not personal data we collected from you
Much of this site describes wallets, holdings and sales on the VeVe and StackR marketplaces. That information is public: it is written to a public blockchain or published by the marketplaces themselves, and we observe it in the same way anyone can. We did not collect it from the people concerned, we do not link it to their identities, and displaying it is our legitimate interest in providing market analytics.
The one exception is your own wallet, which you typed in yourself — that connection between you and an address exists only in your account, and only you can see it.
Who else sees your data
We use a small number of processors, each doing one job: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Brevo (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring).
Some of these are based outside the EU. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers, because we do not run ads.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it and everything attached to it — alerts, watchlist, wallet, delivery settings — are deleted with it.
Two things outlive that. Payment and invoice records are kept as long as accounting law requires. And if you unsubscribe from marketing email we keep a note of that, because it is the only way to honour it.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Most of this you can do yourself from the dashboard; for anything else, contact us and we will respond within a month.
If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics measure page views without profiling individuals.
Changes
If we change how we use your data in a way that affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than relying on you noticing a new date here.
