Manufactured by Serv-O-Droid, Inc., the DUM-Series Pit Droid was an ideal choice for maintaining and repairing podracers. Extremely cheap and durable, pit droids were meant to be expendable. Despite their diminutive size, they were capable of lifting objects much heavier than themselves. With no sense of fear or caution programmed into them, pit droids happily perform the most dangerous of tasks. Easy to store, a simple tap to the pit droid's circular facial lens causes them to fold up and await further tasking.
